AboutJUSTIN

Justin Callahan, a competitive sailor from Miami, FL and Newport, RI is a Harvard University senior who is campaigning to represent the USA in the 470 at the LA’28 Olympic Games. To date, Callahan has won three World Championships, five Continental Championships, and 18 National Championships, establishing himself as a dominant force in his young career.

He’s currently one of three finalists for sailing’s highest national honor, the 2025 US Rolex Yachtsman of the Year Award and was awarded the most prestigious title in College Sailing, “College Sailor of the Year."  He was elected captain of the Harvard Varsity Sailing Team as a sophomore and has also been recognized as a John Harvard Scholar for academic achievement, ranking him in the top 5% of his class.

Justin is campaigning in the 470 class alongside two-time Olympian Lara Dallman-Weiss with a singular focus: to train relentlessly and deliver for Team USA at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.

The pair is already the top-ranked team on the domestic circuit, having secured a breakthrough win at the Long Beach Olympic Class Regatta and titles at both the 2026 470 North Americans and Midwinters.

Following Justin’s graduation from Harvard in May 2026, the team will transition to full-time training and begin competing on the international circuit. They are dedicated to an intensive preparation schedule to represent the U.S. at the first home summer Games since Atlanta 1996.
