Los Angeles Olympics | July 14-30, 2028
Sailing will be held out of the Port of Los Angeles (San Pedro, CA) for boat events and off Belmont Shore (Long Beach, CA) for board events. The Mixed 470 is one of 10 events that will compete, and Justin Callahan has teamed up with 2x Olympian, Lara Dallman-Weiss and their coach Lior Lavie.
A home Games on the horizon is an exciting opportunity for American athletes. Customarily, host countries receive automatic entries to every discipline in every sport, so the upcoming path to the starting line in Los Angeles culminates in a grand finale of US Olympic Trials to select the American representatives who will fill the positions.
A strong path to a podium finish requires constant competition and sparring with the best in the world. For the Mixed 470, the competitive circuit will travel to Japan, the Canary Islands, Mallorca, France, Germany, and Poland all before 2028.
And this is where funding becomes critical. A competitive Olympic campaign requires support for travel, equipment transport, lodging, coaching, etc. and we're currently building the "village" to help the podium plan become a reality.
