Harvard's Justin Callahan has won the nation's top college sailor for a second straight year — just the seventh sailor to repeat since 1968. He now has his sights set on the 2028 LA Olympics.

For the second year in a row, Harvard skipper Justin Callahan has been named the Inter-Collegiate Sailing Association (ICSA) College Sailor of the Year, earning the Everett B. Morris Trophy as the nation’s top collegiate sailor.

Callahan, who graduated from Harvard this year, is the son of Paul and Alisa Callahan and the nephew of Kevin Callahan.

The honor makes Callahan only the seventh two-time recipient of the award since the trophy was first presented in 1968. Often described as college sailing’s equivalent of the Heisman Trophy, the award recognizes outstanding performance at the highest level of collegiate competition. During his senior season, Callahan won 13 of the 17 regattas he competed in and finished on the podium in every event. Over his four-year career, he helped lead Harvard to five national championships and will become the program’s first four-time first-team All-American.

A John Harvard Scholar, recognizing the university’s top academic performers, Callahan plans to continue competing with the goal of qualifying for the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, where he is considered a leading US contender in the 470 Class.
